The Stockland hill transmitter will transmit the digital signal, and with the aid of it's relays, more than two hundred thousand homes will be provided with digital tv.

This means that for example viewers in the Weymouth and Bridport areas can receive the digital signal via their external aerial.

The completion of the switchover in these areas is due on the twentieth of May 2009.

On this date, all parts of Exeter, some parts of Dorset and Somerset will receive the digital (freeview) signal. This includes channels such as channel five, ITV freeview channels and channel four.
